Thick-section cutting for turbine, generator and renewable components
For turbine, generator and solar-wind energy systems, cutting of stainless, Inconel and steel parts in thick sections, with square edges and no heat.
Energy equipment is often made from thick-section, heat- and corrosion-resistant materials. Waterjet cuts thick stainless, steel and nickel-based alloys (Inconel) in a single pass with square edges and no heat, preserving the corrosion resistance and metallurgical structure of the material.
We process a broad range of parts: turbine body and blade blanks, flanges and connection plates, heat-exchanger parts and the structural sheets of solar and wind systems. On thin-to-medium sheet, fiber laser offers high speed and low unit cost.
On parts exposed to high temperature and wear, material integrity is critical, so we favour waterjet, which leaves no heat-affected zone. We provide lot-based material traceability and a measurement report on request.
Typical parts
- Turbine body, blade and diffuser blanks
- Flanges, connection and carrier plates
- Heat-exchanger and tube-sheet parts
- Structural sheets for solar and wind systems
- Generator and switchgear components
