In space hardware, weight budget and dimensional stability are the top priorities. Because waterjet is a cold process it forms no heat-affected zone (HAZ); the internal stress distribution of titanium, high-strength aluminium and composite materials stays intact and the risk of heat distortion is eliminated.
Lightweighted lattice panels, bracket and connection families and thin-walled structural parts are cut in a single piece, burr-free and with square edges. This reduces the need for pre-assembly correction and secondary machining, improving the repeatability of precise geometries.
On composite (CFRP) and laminated materials, the thermal effect of laser carries a risk of delamination and resin burn; waterjet cuts these materials without force or heat, preserving ply integrity. We work under NDA on confidential projects and provide lot-based material traceability on request.
